Here you will get a more personal look at us and what we like to do as well as the other standard about us page.

About Pristine Tile & Carpet Cleaning

Pristine specializes in tile, grout and carpet cleaning in the greater Fredericksburg Virginia area, including Stafford and Spotsylvania counties, since 2006. We guarantee that you will receive the most thorough cleaning ever, and great personalized customer service.

Being a family owned business has drawbacks that don’t always work out for some customers. Just like everyone else, we have our hobbies and things we like to do with our family on nights, weekends, and holidays. So early on we decided we were going to pursue residential work, and let the commercial and emergency work to those who prefer to do that type of service. I am always willing to provide referrals to great companies who do what we don’t, so just call me directly at 540-841-3907, and I will be happy to help.

Our Method

Pristine currently has two complete truck mounted carpet cleaning machines in operation. Both deliver exceptional heat and vacuum needed to effectively clean carpet as well as tile, grout and other hard surfaces. Our cleaning method is “hot water extraction” also referred to as “steam cleaning” we feel this is the best method of cleaning for residential carpet. Extracting the soil, pet waste, and other contaminants is by far better than other dry cleaning methods that does what with the soil? where does it go?

Peter Sr runs one truck and Peter Jr runs the other. Carpet cleaning extraordinaire, Michael Cowger, goes with the truck that has the biggest work load of the day. Rachel is part time and does mostly office and clerical work. She is however, well trained in carpet & tile cleaning, and always ready to help out on large jobs.

About Peter Diehl Sr

Hi my name is Peter Diehl,

I am founder and co-owner/operator of Pristine Tile & Carpet Cleaning. I was born on Long Island New York and moved to Virginia in 1993. Along with my son and co-owner, Pete Jr (AKA Re-Pete) we run a successful carpet cleaning business that we are all very proud of.

I am happily married to my wife of 27 years and love her more than words can say. We have two great kids that have grown into two great adults.

My wife Michele has an awesome career at Geico for almost as long as we have been married. That’s how we ended up in Virginia. Michele played a big part in the opening of that big office building on US 17 many years ago. At the time, the cost of living here was very attractive compared to New York…still is I suppose.

In my free time I like to play guitar, garden, hike, go boating on the Potomac with family and friends, visit the beach and the mountains. I am always down to visit new places and discover new things.

About Peter Diehl Jr

Peter started working the family business part time while he was still in high school almost ten years ago. He has a passion to do everything perfect no matter what it is, work related or personal. His work ethic is extraordinary, and it shows in the reviews that our happy customers are leaving. Another top quality Pete has is his kindness and willing to help other people, he truly would give anyone the shirt off his back, really.

Pete is happily married to his beautiful wife Ashton, they recently purchased their first home last year, and have a little girl on the way! It’s the perfect storybook scenario!

Re-Pete has several hobbies that take up much of his free time (okay, all of his free time). The one one at the top of the list is Bonsai’s. He spends hours trimming and training trees to grow in small containers that mimic large trees. Another one on the list is leather work… belts, wallets, accessories of all sorts. He mainly makes these beautiful creations to give to family and friends. Again, that’s how he is…never in it for the money he just likes to make people happy!

The photo to the right is a project that Pete played a huge role in, a new Japanese Zen Garden installed at the University of Mary Washington. You can read more about it in this Free Lance Star article. It’s just stunning! Pete’s great friends and mentors Bob Chilton and Todd Stewart of Gardens Unlimited in Caroline County are the masterminds behind these extraordinary gardens.

Michael Cowger

About Michael Cowger

In today’s day and age it is so difficult to find great employees that will show up on time every day, and give a 110%. Michael does just that! He has not missed a day or even been late once. From the day we first heard Michael was looking for a job, we knew we found our man. He has so many great qualities as a person as well as an employee. Both Michael and Peter Jr have many of the same characteristics in the sense that they both would do anything for anyone. In fact, many of our customers often mistake them for brothers as they even look a little similar. Michael is friendly, polite, clean cut and most important…he is trustworthy. I can’t think of anyone better to put in our customers homes.

Even though Michael is not Pete’s blood brother, we still consider him family, and he even comes on vacation with us. Pete and Michael have been best friends since middle school and spent countless afternoons skate boarding on weekends and after school. Michael also stood by Pete’s side as his best man when he got married last year.

Years ago Michael’s friends gave him the nickname “Mooger” or “Moog” for short, kind of a mash up of his first and last name. It has stuck around all these years and it even feels a little awkward to call him Michael. You may even see the Virginia license plate Mooger around town on his beloved Subaru. He is a die hard Subaru lover! Moog also loves the outdoors, kayaking, fishing or just hanging out with good friends.

Michael is also a huge music lover who likes a wide variety of music, old and new. He loves to create his own musical pieces and is also known as DJ Moog.

We are truly blessed to have Michael on the team! Thank you Moog, for all the hard work!

Rachel Diehl

About Rachel Diehl

Rachel works part time for the company as she has been very busy with other very important things like school! Rachel has recently graduated from Mary Washington University right here in Fredericksburg. She has always been a very smart cookie and always excelled in her studies, we are all very proud of her! Rachel majored in environmental science and hopes to land a rewarding career that utilizes her degree, but for now she is happy to have the stress of school behind her. Aside from Pristine she also has an important role in her other job at 6 Bears & A Goat Brewery.

Rachel also loves the outdoors, kayaking, mountains, beaches etc… but most of all loves her pets and taking her beloved black lab, Basil, to the parks and on other outdoor adventures. Basil is also a very smart cookie and recently graduated
